Here are selected examples of our approach to the Customers
Problem Solving:

Customer Problem:
A visual verification of a bracket for
6 key locations was not effective. Non-confirming parts were still
shipped to the end user. Customer had ongoing quality complaints and was
at the risk of loosing the business.
LEM Solution: LEM has designed and implement a fixtures with
proximity switches to ensure 100% error proofing of this visual
inspection for the areas.
Result: 100% error proofing made it a controlled situation.
Inspection was easier and quicker.

Customer Problem:
A customer had a noise problem in an
electric assembly. When the part
was assembled into a car door the noise could be heard. This noisy
problem has negatively affected overall car quality rating.
LEM Solution: LEM designed and built a custom test fixture that
had an amplifier incorporated into it to detect the out of range noise.
Result: Each sub-assembly was tested using the fixture. This way
we could listen to the parts and non-conforming parts could be found
before getting to the end user.

Customer Problem:
And injection molder was having a flashing problem around a metal part.
Sorting and scrapping non-conforming parts after the molding was too
costly for the customer. Chronic parts shortage caused production
overtimes and premium shipments.
LEM Solution: LEM designed and built a small tool to economically
trim the flashing off this part. This simple secondary operation saved
time and money for the customer.
Result: LEM has been doing this job for 15 years and has
salvaged 100% of the defects sent to LEM for rework.
