PROBLEM: LEM was kit packaging part for a company using counting scales to get quantity. The parts were not of consistent weight so we had to put in extra pieces to ensure the customer would get the count. The company was losing an estimated $86,000 a year in overshiping.

OUR SOLUTION: LEM recognized the savings potential and in turn we designed and built a fixture to control this and give an accurate count every time. A company had an intricately shaped bracket that another sorting company was inspecting. They were missing a lot of bad parts so the job was sent to LEM. The inspection required visual inspection of 6 areas on the part. LEM designed and built a fixture with proximity switches which made the inspection easier in a controlled situation
